firefighter
How do you say it ... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL ,,,,, LOL ,,,, Saturday was the last day of the 1st muzzle loader season , and it was doe's only for the entire week, Well i Got in my stand around 6, had something come out from behind me around 6:15 feeding in the corn pile,,,, thought ok this is gonna be a good day ,,,, well by 12pm i hadnt seen anything, my buddy calls me on the walkie talkie and asks if i was heading in to get some lunch, told him nope, i'm hanging out here.... By 3pm i start to worry still hadnt seen anything , a little after 4pm i saw a doe slowly walking in from the field, it was around 50-60 yds away , i've never shot that far with OPEN SIGHTS except at the range practicing. Adrenalin was running, the doe stops to offer a neck shot while it was eating some corn, so i carefully aimed and shot. She dropped right there, I was like YES , First deer in 2 years, the bad luck is finally over ........

firefighter
Re: 1st deer in 2 years Thanks bud ,,,, Thats what i always tell my buddy , When i go hunting , I take everything , lunch, coffee snacks, with me and i'm out sunup to sundown. One thing i've learned in the past is that, when some people ar heading back to the campers to eat, deer will start to move again ,,, hopefully in my direction ,,,
