So i was wondering what all of you name your honeyholes or if you even have any favorite spots where deer love to go. Mine is the back creek, deer just go through the "funnel" and right to my stand, i just love it.

But he specifically mentioned deer.

Your right VT. I'll bet there's a move in store here.

To answer the question we've had some stands that were given names but not necessarily because they were special honeyholes. Actually I hate to do that because when someone else hears it they think it is something special so it gets unwelcome hunting pressure.

I've only named one of mine. It's called the blowdown for a reason. I made a roof for a ladder stand I had on a tree situated on the point of a narrow ridge overlooking a funnel. Before I could hunt it the 1st time a tree blew down and knocked the roof off. smirk.gif You had to climb over the blown down tree to get into the ladder. Two years ago the tree the stand was in blew down. tongue.gif Last year I hunted off the ground in the same spot and killed a mature 9 point that won our hunting club's big buck pot. Between myself and some of my friends we killed about 6 mature bucks from that spot.
