MCH
Did anyone catch this week's Muzzy Moment on NA Whitetail? Gordon Whittington harvested a buck on film that had one side of his skull cracked!! The video showed the deer walking with his head lower than normal and his right side of his rack looked like it was about to shed. The buck was apparently after some does. After shooting the buck, they realized that the buck had been injured. It's right eye was gone and the right side of his skull plate attached to his antler was loose. OUCH!! Made me cringe everytime he wiggled the horn...

RangerClay
Re: This week\'s Muzzy Moment I posted something similar to this in NAW post. Sorry if I stole your thunder. That was BY FAR one the most incredible things I have ever seen in this sport. I was shocked that the dead wasn't dead. Let me toss out this question. Would that deer have lived or died? I think the coyotes would have got him pretty soon. What do you think? Ranger
MCH
Re: This week\'s Muzzy Moment [ QUOTE ] I posted something similar to this in NAW post. Sorry if I stole your thunder. [/ QUOTE ] LOL...My thunder ain't as loud as it used to be so I don't even bother worrying about it... I highly doubt that buck would have lasted the week, much less the winter. There's no doubt that he had bleeding in the brain. And with the antler moving at every step there's no way it could heal unless the antler fell off. But then again, I've heard stories of deer surviving worse. But I just can't imagine a deer making it through a cranial injury. Guess we'll never know though, cause a bullet through the vitals will do it every time...

too_pointer
Re: This week\'s Muzzy Moment I caught that show twice, unbelievable I shot a spike once that had one spike broke off at the skull just like it. When he walked that spike would bounce up and down
