hutchies
Re: What\'s your anchor point? I set in the hutchies triangle. String on nose, vane in corner of mouth, and thumb behind ear. I find that helps me hit the same spot everytime

Jeramie
Re: What\'s your anchor point? [ QUOTE ] I was taught to lock my thumb behind my jaw right below my ear. [/ QUOTE ] Exact same here. I also keep an open hand so to make sure im doing that and keeping good form I stretch my pinkie out and rest it against the stabilizer. jbeck
Re: What\'s your anchor point? [ QUOTE ] You guys are going to think this is weird: I draw my bow back as far as it will go, back off a little, then make sure my kisser button is at the corner of my mouth. Then I center my pin in my peep and let 'er fly. Not textbook, but effective. This is one area I think I could use some more work on - a consistent anchor point. I also don't wait once I find my aim point: once my sight hits it, the arrow is gone. steve [/ QUOTE ] Careful pit, that style promotes target panick. You should be able to hold your pin on the target 3 to 5 sec. before starting you squeeze. not condeming, just stating a fact.
Jeramie
Re: What\'s your anchor point? I do the same steve. Ive always called it instinctive shooting. I float around the target and my finger does the rest. Its a silent link between my brain and index. I dont think about it, it just goes off. If thats how you have always shot it works.... btw, I do the same with a rifle.
Ravin R10 man
Re: What\'s your anchor point? I shoot with a release so my knuckle on my right hand is right under my ear with the tip of my index finger right at the corner of my mouth...then I have a peep sight that i line up on my whisker biscuit with my right eye, then look through my left eye at my sight and put the pin on my "spot" and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.......WHACK! A lot of steps I know..but I have an eye injury that prevents me to aim with my right eye. I am accurate enough and very comfy with it.
