AdvantageTimberLou
Re: WTB bow hanger Cody, Do you have a Meijer store in your area? That is the grocery store chain that covers all types of merchandise. We have them in Michigan and I think you have them in your area as well. Its not a Realtree ez hanger but they have a hanger made by Allen Products, the screw looks pretty good as some knock offs are hard to start into the tree. This Allen hanger sells for $7.99 or so. Its a cheap alternative for you especially if you leave them in trees in Wisconsin!! Good luck. Try your Meijer store in their hunting section. TreeWalker
Re: WTB bow hanger TIP.....if buying the walmart ones, take a couple wrenches and cynch up the hinge bolt a little......the first one I put up without doing this, was pretty loose, and bow would swing from one side or the other if the hanger was not perfectly level....... PAhardwoods
Re: WTB bow hanger wooo thanks for the tip I think i would of had a hear attack if i noticed my bow starting to sway back and forth Cody
TreeWalker
Re: WTB bow hanger It's not that it sways back and forth, but if the hanger is not level, instead of the bow hanging out in front for easy reaching, the arm (and bow) will swing to the "downhill" side.....cynching up the bolt, so the hinge is a little snugger will help prevent this. Mountaineer
Re: WTB bow hanger I've bought 2 of the cheap Allen bow hangers. They do the job just fine, but on both of them when I went to unscrew them from the tree after using them one time only, the screw part snapped off into the tree. I didn't get them too tight into the tree or anything, and the 2nd one I used I made sure not to get it too tight. But it ended up snapping off as well when I was unscrewing it from the tree. Anybody else ever had this happen?
