Guest Xen
well, it never fails, you can have a pond the size of a football field, be the only guy there, and people will come sit 30 feet away. i've pretty much gotten use to that, but last night I had a pair of real idiots... my brother-in-law and I were fishing, had been there for an hour and a pair of guys moved in 30 feet away. they almost crossed my bro's line, but didn't, so everything was fine. an hour later, 2 more guys came down and sat between us and the other guys, not 15 feet away (keep in mind, this pond is close to football field sized and there were only about 10 people fishing) well, sure enough, the first guy cast out his line, right over my bro's, and the second guy crossed the line of the people next to us. my brother reeled in, re-baited, and cast back out. as he's pulling that guy's line in, the guy never said a word. not sorry, not woops, nothing. after a minute, he left. well, the guy that came with him waited about 5 minutes and reeled his line in, dragging in the guy next to him, and got his line stuck in the weeds. again, nothing said, he just untangled his line and left the other guy in the weeds and then just walked off. is this the price you have to pay for being lucky enough to catch a fish or two? people think they have to crowd you and fish next to you?? we use to get a laugh out of moving to where people just left and catching fish there, but we've decided we're not moving any more. maybe we'll have to start throwing people in, i'm not sure what the answer is
Guest gfourhunter
Re: Pond fishing in the city answer!!!! find a better place to fish. i hate people like that. no respect at all. a guy one time on the other side of a small cove kept catching my line. i told him if he wanted to fish over hear just walk over hear and fish. he got mouthey with me and went on snaging my line. i had to mutch so i reeled his pole in the lake and over to me. he got mad and walked over to my side. needless to say he went back over to his side with a limp and a bloodey nose. fixed that problem. Guest Xen
Re: Pond fishing in the city well, i like your style, the problem is that i did that once and had the choice of anger management classes or jail time, i figured 10 1 hour sessions was a better way to go

HuntingInMaine
Re: Pond fishing in the city How rude! Even my 12 and 10 year old boys know better than to crowd someone when fishing, and also to watch where they are casting when fishing in tight conditions. Sounds like they needed a lesson in manners!
