BowJoe
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! One of the minority analysts on the court tv channel was putting in her oppinion and more or less said that the hunters deserved to die because they made racial remarks to Vang about him being on their property. She said that they should have been more careful about what tresspasser they were messing with. Yet another anti-hunter, anti-gun, anti-white person doing nothing but insulting the death of 6 people, only one was armed, and praising the survival of the assailant. Yet white people are the to blame. Also, one of the other anylists said the Chai Vang's original statement to police was that the one hunter that had a gun, killed his friends and daughter and made him hold the gun and walk up to the victims. How sick of an individual. Suddenly though, he says that they surrounded him and he was already leaving their property but they wouldn't let him until they made fun of him. His story completely conflicts the one other eye witness which was I believe one of the hunters sons.

Chrud
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! Vang said something yesterday that really stumped me. He said that he saw a bullet kick up dirt 40' in front of him. After they he quickly removed the scope from his gun and started shooting back. Now, I've taken a couple scopes off guns in my day. Now the story might be different if I were "being shot at", but I have never seen scope rings or used rings that come off that quickly in the field. Unless there is such a product, I find that story a little fishy.
superguide
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! I'm watching it as I type-it is the most bizarre thing I've ever heard-it's like the guy zoned right out and thought he was in a war zone or something. It definately wasn't self defense-I'm surprised they didn't try some other defense it sure is a tragic sad deal for sure. I can't believe if he was shot at that they'd miss by 50 feet-I just can't believe how calm he is as he decribes shooting all those people. Guest Mudshack
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! When I read that he removed the scope, I interpreted it as he removed the scope caps. Obviously the person typing up the story is not a hunter. Chrud
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! Vang himself (speaks pretty good English actually) said he removed the scope. I thought maybe he said scope caps also. But when I listened to that report a second and third time, he said scope both times.
rossman
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! First off, he was trespassing. He never should have been there in the first place. So he is in the wrong already. Second, Vang is playing the race card. It doesn't matter if race played a part of it. He fired first, and killed 6 people. They need to fry this guy. Either way he will be fried. If he get's a not guilty verdict, I am sure he will be lynched. If it were my family who were killed by this guy, and he got off. How could I not go after him myself. He never should have walked out of the woods alive in the first place. Hang and bang this S.O.B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest buddy ahart
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! I agree with you rossman if it was my family the guy wouldnt have walked off my property. If he gets away with it im sure someone will assasinate him. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! [ QUOTE ] Vang said something yesterday that really stumped me. He said that he saw a bullet kick up dirt 40' in front of him. After they he quickly removed the scope from his gun and started shooting back. Weaver makes a quick removal base for scopes its so you can use 1 scope for multiple guns I guess Ive heard of em though. He took the scope off his rifle so he could find his targets faster sorta like hed done this before or had this sorta experience before. Now, I've taken a couple scopes off guns in my day. Now the story might be different if I were "being shot at", but I have never seen scope rings or used rings that come off that quickly in the field. Unless there is such a product, I find that story a little fishy. [/ QUOTE ] Weaver makes em they are quick removal mounts just thumb screws and your scope is off he took his scope off to find his target faster sorta like he might have done this before makes you wonder. slughunter
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! although he killed some hunters, you can bet that those guys were harrasing him and calling everyname and maybe throwing stuff at him or even shooting at him. so yes i feel bad for the families but i beleive some of it was in self defence. thats just my opinion, i dont want to start a huge argument. Adjam5
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! BOTTOM LINE...HE WAS TRESPASSING! PERIOD! Ignorance of the law is NO excuse. It doesn't matter if your an immigrant. He spoke english good, I'm sure he could read the NO trespassing signs and understand the commands given at that time. Now as far as the scope he took off. Do you think he'd put $100 scope mounts(removeable) on a gun(SKS) that only costs about $100? I don't think so. Hopefully some criminal who lost his hunting priviledges in jail, will get a hold of him during the rut He'll be bunking with BUBBA soon Good riddance and rest in peace brother hunters. WI2506
Re: Deer Hunting Murder trial on Court TV now! I live as the crow flies 5 miles from where this occured... We were hunting also that day and heard the sirens and then the stories over the radio.. Now that he has been found guilty It turned out as it should. he was tresspassing and told to leave not shoot everyone in site. He stood on the stand and said 2 men deserved to die. I think not. This man was also fined before for tresspassing and continued to do so. He has given all deer hunters a bad name not to mention the willies when hunting on our own land.
