too_pointer
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I actually have the plastic one It is neither the bag nor fake antlers. It is in a box style with several plastic plates in it that you move with one hand across the top. I can't say I have tried either of the ones you mentioned too_
tedicast
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I have an HS bag. Last year on a slow day, I was playing witht he bag, and my Knight and Hale EZ grunter. Puit hem down hit the can a couple times, and I hear something. You know that sound of win coming through the trees at a distance? Thats what I thought it was at first. After a few seconds I realized it was a deer running wide open. Finally saw him about 300 yards away, on a beeline to me. Dropped him at 60 yards. Wasn't a mature buck, was a 1 1/2 yo 6 pointer, but I was flat out amazed that I actually rattled a deer in, on heavily hunted state land. Rattle bags do work! TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I have the bag but think either one will work fine if used correctly. Both sound the same most of the time. Each has their advantages as well.
firefighter
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I prefer real antlers, You can also rub the branches and make some noise that way which has worked for me .........
Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I have used both, and prefer the Bag. Real antlers are too much of a hassle to drag along. I will say they sound quite a bit better then the bag but the bag does work no doubt. I called in a bachelor group of small bucks last year multiple times with my K & H bag.
SaskMan
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I like the real thing but I think the bag sounds pretty good. But for me the real thing is cheaper than buying the bag.
Guest lobsterman
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? i like to use real antlers when im rifle hunting, and the bag when bowhunting, the bag is a little easier to carry up the tree when im bowhunting.... Mach1
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I used real ones with success bringing deer in. Then I got a bag for Christmas and used it with little to no success. I'll probably head out this year with both and see which works better this year. Guest imported_ne_archer
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? Mark another one down for real antlers. I have used a friends bag a couple of times and just like the real thing better.

wtnhunt
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? Have used real antlers and have had somewhat mixed responses mainly only from younger bucks. Bought a rattle bag last year and used it some, but did not really have any luck with it. willfish03
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? i use real antlers. i like them for the sound and as a gage to shoot or not to shoot. if mine are biger than his he gets a free pass. the antlers scored

Tetro
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? Although, the rattle bags sound good to use. I stick with my antlers. The antlers I got for nothing and they worked well for me so far. Even if they are a hassle at times in the stand.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I find real antlers work best. The bigger the better. I'm currently using a set of mule deer antlers to rattle for whitetails. I sometimes use the dynamite sticks if I can't carry a big set of antlers around with me. Don't care for the type in the bags, they always sound muffled to me.
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? I like the real antlers but for convenience I use the bag if I am filming for my buddy I will bring my horns but if I am by myself I break out the bag. maytom
Re: Rattle Antlers or Rattle Bag??? Another vote for the "Rattle bag". Like someone already mentioned, they are much easier to store and carry.
