I'm Home and owe someone a BIG "Thank you!"

Just got back from God's country (Wyoming) and a week with one of the best men you'll ever meet (Realtree Pro Staffer Steve Beilgard).

Steve, the hotel we stayed in last night had no internet, so I had to put off posting pics until I got home. Hopefully I can begin going through those tonight and get some up here in the forums. Right now I'm just too busy answering questions from three very curious boys who want to know all about hunting out west. And since it was my first time out there and my first bow kill, we have been very busy talking and telling stories.

I want to take the opportunity to thank you publicly Steve for what I feel was the best hunt I have ever been on. David Blanton was correct. You are truly one of the greatst guys I have ever had the pleasure of being around. From your cowboy poetry, to your sense of humor and unmatched knowledge of the North American antelope, it was an awesome week. You and Rilda are just good folk that anyone would find a pleasure to spend time with.

I look forward to following up with you on the PCBA dinner last night and all other future ideas and opportunities we discussed this week concerning this hunt. Those hunters are an inspiration and you are to be commended for getting this hunt/event started.

For those of you that have the chance to get in on the other slot for the antelope hunt next year with our auction winner (Jim), I will tell you right now that you "will not" be disappointed.

Additionally, I delivered checks and cash raised here in the forums to Steve for an additional $540 help for fellow forum member and Moderator Norm Sauceman. Thank you all for a great response to this worthy cause and thank you (again) Steve for offering your services. S

P.S. Joining us there on the hunt this week was John Protheroe from Neenah, Wisconsin. John was the winning bidder for an antelope hunt with Steve to help with the medical expenses for the brother of fellow forum member and Moderator Matt "Chrud" Chrudimsky. Steve also helped John score on a antelope trophy of a lifetime and I will be sure to post pics of him too. My goal is to get John together with Matt and his family next year at the DU Festival in Oshkosh so they can meet. They are all great people. S

Congrats on the antelope Scott! Can't wait to see the pictures of yours and John's.

It would be great to meet John at DU next year. I didn't know who won the hunt, it'll be nice to meet the guy who helped us out a great deal. Steve really helped us out a lot when he asked about setting up an antelope hunt to be auctioned off. I also thank him for talking me into having SCI take care of it for us. smile.gif

I'll be at DU next year, I PROMISE! grin.gif Even if "we" are leading the points race, I'll be at DU.
