huntinsonovagun
Man, first 4 weeks of the semester were easy in College Trig except for one concept....trigonomic identities. First test is tomorrow and I'm lost on it! He gave us a sample test that is 9 questions long with 4 being identity problems....crap. Any helpful hints?lol Man....what a bummer. I dunno what to do now. Maybe try a quick shot of tutoring tomorrow before the test. I thought I could get it figured out over the weekend, but I was wrong. Oh well....such is life. I'll take my 66% like a man...........
Shaun_300
Re: Trig Identities....a KILLER!!! Just remember... Soak a toe... SOH CAH TOA, (Sin = Opposite over Hypotenuse, Cos = Adjecent over Hypotneuse and Tan = Opposite over Hypotenuse) I think that's right... It's been 3 years since I took trig.... Palssonater
Re: Trig Identities....a KILLER!!! I remember these. Just keep practicing and it will all fall into place. Its like someone flipped a switch when you start getting it. They will prove very usefull in calculus and electrical physics.

And be thankful you aren't doing statistics, it's even worse than trig and calc!

They're telling me I have to have it before I can take physics (or SHOULD take it....), which is required for med. school. Hmmmmm.....I think school just keeps getting harder and harder. dogdoc
Re: Trig Identities....a KILLER!!! Ryan---I had to take 2 semesters of Physics (1 and 2) both with labs but trig wasn't one of the requirements. Chem 1 and 2, organic chem and biochem--all with labs. Biochemistry was one of the toughest classes I took. I don't remember using a lot of trig during physics--but that was close to 20 years ago. huntinsonovagun
Re: Trig Identities....a KILLER!!! Yeah, doggy.....that chem stuff is a killer. One of the reasons I decided not to go to grad school. I'm in Chem I this semester, along with anatomy. I might be good at school if my attention span was longer than 5 minutes! I'm seriously beginning to wonder if I have ADD. lol
