c_lou
Re: Hunting Question I love both but for different reasons. If I want to hunt I go bow hunting. If I want to have fun with family and friends, that's what gun hunting is all about.

DSGB
Re: Hunting Question [ QUOTE ] i love both, however i do like the cooler weather that comes with rifle season here in GA [/ QUOTE ] Ditto! I was a gun hunter only until a couple years ago. Since then I've taken two deer with my bow. It is a little more exciting when you kill one with a bow. I still hunt with a gun once the gun season starts, though.

BowJoe
Re: Hunting Question My first love will always be bowhunting. I am trying the shotgun style for the first time this year. The only thing that bothers me is rifle hunting. I understand that hunting is hunting as long as it's legal and I support it but to ME and me alone, I don't think it takes as much skill to sharpshoot a buck at 200 or more yds as it does to take one up close and personal. If that were the case here in IL, I know myself and a lot of my friends would have some our names beside some records in the books. I don't mean to offend anyone and I know I will get a lot of flack for my comment... but that's how I feel. Like I said, I support any hunting that's legal whether it be with dogs or baiting but I just have my preferences.
