CDubWSR Posted September 20, 2005 Report Share Posted September 20, 2005 well my g/f has recently showed some interest in archery lately. so a few weeks ago we shot for the first time. my buddy gave me his old bear bow to get set up for her and we just kinda pieced it together with extra sights and rests that we had. well the first time we shot a couple weeks ago was terrible. she couldnt even hit my block target at 10 yards and eventually dropped the bow and broke the sight. well about a week ago i ran across another old sight i had laying around so this wkend i put it on and got her shooting again. right away she was hitting the middle dot on my block target at 10 yards. we probably shot for about 30 minutes and then she started getting tired so i just finished up shooting. well today i went over to her house to help her with her homework. so i brought my block with me and told her she had to shoot b4 it got dark and then we would do homework. well she started off with 5 bullseyes in a row from 10 yards. i moved her back to 15... same thing. so i adjusted the next pin for twenty yards, two shots, two adjustments and she was hitting the bullseye again everytime from 20. i guess i better keep practicing or else she might catch up to me pretty soon. I did the same thing this year she wanted to hunt so I went out and bought her a bow and all the goodies to go with it. Now she's out shooting me but I'm very happy she enjoy's my passion with me.
