Guest Sagitarius
A guy I work with claims to have shot multiple 200# does. As far as I know these are along the lines of finding Bigfoot. What do you guys think?
JimT
Re: 200# doe It is possible,,but very unlikely....I doubt he did. I would need to know the guy to know for sure though..
Guest Finn
Re: 200# doe Possible, but I doubt it. Of all the deer I've killed, only 1 buck has dressed over 200, and it was a monster. Maybe he's going by live weight.

Guest lostiniowa
Re: 200# doe possible i guess but I just moved to iowa where the deer are cows and I killed a huge 218# field dressed 10 point so I would have to see that to believe it! Guest 1TarheelHunter
Re: 200# doe On our trip to southern Illinois last year one of my buddies shot a doe that had to push the 200 # range. They say they see them all the time..... I know we don't see them in NC.

Ohiobucks
Re: 200# doe Back when I was a junior in high school, my prom date was 200+ , but I have never shot a doe that big.
HarvDog
Re: 200# doe I guess it's possible but definitely not very common.
fisherguy
Re: 200# doe The guys i hunt with have shot a few, but we have very large bodied deer here, and a 200 pound doe is certainly not common. They are out there, but for someone to claim they have shot multiple does over 200...i would want proof.
Reloader
Re: 200# doe Possible? Theoreticaly maybe, but so statisticaly improbable that I would say not realy possible. Definite BSer....can he even shoot? LOL How about pictures? Game tags / bills from the butcher that procesed them? If he is that good he should go into guiding or hunting videos...LOL

Newarcher
Re: 200# doe I bet this guy also hangs out at the local 'pro' shop annoying the owner and all of the customers also! I am not saying it happens but he sounds, on general principle, to be full of it. JMHO, New

Illinoisbowhunter
Re: 200# doe A friend of mine killed a 160lb dressed doe a few years ago. Definitely possible, especially with these cornfed Illinois deer.
superguide
Re: 200# doe That doe Ty shot with his bow wouldn't of given you much change from 200 pounds-those big old dry does up here would make 200-I know their bf's easily weigh 100 lbs more than that. bulldawg
Re: 200# doe I have seen one doe in my entire hunting life that dressed out over 200#, and it tipped the scales at 225! It came off of Camp McCoy base in Wisconsin back in the early 70's. My friend's dad had it hanging in his garage. It looked like a quarter horse! Nosdog2
Re: 200# doe That is pretty big, however I am sure it is possible. I imagine the does in Canada break that mark often. My biggest doe dressed out 135 and that was a huge bi$%ch.
