Guest J_Owens_66
What is the AO? What does it do? I have always bought scopes without it, and have never known what it accually does . Thanks
AJ
Re: Scopes with Adjustible Objective It allows the shooter to use higher magnification at many distances. It basically focuses the image the eye sees. I love them. I was dissapointed to see Leupold dropped the AO from the 4.5-14x50 VX-III. I have AO on all of my scopes that have a max magnification of greater than 10. I like it. I can dial in the magnification and adjust the AO to make the view crystal clear, even at 20x at 50 yards. Opponents of AOs say you don't have time to adjust the settings during hunting situations. I have not had that problem. I typically set it about 75-100 yards and it will work fine for quick shots. If I have time or want to view sonmething closer, I can adjust the scope for the best picture.
