Looks like I may have to put the sight seeing to the side for a bit. Unfortunately for me, TSBH has a way of saying exactly how I feel about certain issues, so I usually just sound like a bandwagon jumper!!! But rest assured Mike, I got your back on this one brother! bulldawg
Re: Blind patriotism...Where do you stand??? My ways of thinking were instilled in me, as a child in the early 60's. That's when this country was still all red, white and blue! When the late 60's came about, is when this country went to pot! That was the mindlessness; not your every day patriotic thinking. All of the cry babies that can't stand this, and think that is unfair, etc. We all have to fall in to thier goofy ways of doing things, or we aren't politically correct. Piss on that b.s. This country is still kicking today because of some tough, take no crap type of people. And like it or not, that is the military, and the veterans that served to keep this place alive! You act like you're bad or something! You aren't spit to me, or alot of others around here. And yeah, I'm a pretty big man! 235 pounds of brute force, even though the years have slowed me down a bit. As Merle Haggard said it..."when you're running down our fightin' men, you're walkin' on the fightin' side of me".

[/ QUOTE ] Evidently my young uninformed friend, you don't know a whole heckuva alot about history, and the military, as they go hand in hand. If it weren't for the fighting men and women of this country, chances are ALL of us would not be speaking the English language. Does the Revolutianry War, WW 1 WW 2 mean anything to you? Evidently not, oh well that is YOUR loss. Now, back to that POS statement you made. Brainwashed military, WHEWW BOY. You must be as ignorant as the day is long. Well, maybe we are brainwashed. Brainwashed to LOVE this country we were born in, and have served and are serving to protect from people around the world that HATE US!!! You don't have to worry about me bringing anything in from the Bible, don't need to. As far as how big a boy am I, well, I am 230lb of a 10yr Army Vet that has alot of anger towards certain individuals that talk trash about my fellow Vets. You may not agree with this war, that's YOUR prerogative, that's what makes THIS nation so great, but I'll be dammed if I let some little piss ant come in heer and talk trash about our military. Good day.

You obviously fell out of the stupid side of the bed when you woke up this morning. Watch your self and don't start throwing comments around that could lead to problems. You don't want this problem hanging over your shoulder. Talk about a monkey on your back.... I would be the biggest hipprocrit you ever seen. My Flag decal will get me anywhere I want. God loves Marines, you didn't know that? God said there is a special place in the heaven for Marines. Yeah, he said it was called the "Mens Department"! Look don't get crazy here man. I just want you..who seems to know everything about the military....explain yourself like an adult about what you meant by "Brainwashing drones". If you can't explain yourself like an adult like throwing in comments such as "How big a boy are ya", there are kindercare forums out there I am sure. Just google it, you'll find it. BLH
Re: Blind patriotism...Where do you stand??? Sounds like PY_archer is the one whose panties are in a bunch. If patriotism and patriotic comments offend you that much, maybe you need to re-evaluate the reasons you have for living in this country. And maybe you need to start taking a look at somewhere else to live and state your opinions. Like TSBH said, comments like that will cause you a lot of problems that you don't need. Col. Dave Grossman; [ QUOTE ] It is so much easier to kill someone if they look distinctly different than you. If your propaganda machine can convince your soldiers that their opponents are not really human but are `inferior forms of life’ then their natural resistance to killing their own species will be reduced. BLH
Re: Blind patriotism...Where do you stand??? Who are you calling atheist? I am a God fearing and country loving Christian. This country was founded on a belief in God and the right to believe in what ever we want without persecution. (We won't get into that, it's a whole other issue) In order to be so founded, a the Revolutionary WAR was fought. War is necessary sometimes. There is no glory in just killing people, however there is tons of glory in fighting to protect the rights that you and I have, (as many of the forum members have done valiently) including the right to express our opinions, even though some are more ignorant and blind than others. And if you, and however many more people, don't like the way their rights are protected or aren't thankful for their rights, then yes, you are more than welcome to get out. Did he come to you in a vision, or what? If all military personnel were brainwashed to kill, they would be completely out of hand, and would never be able to lead a productive life afterwards. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to keep from choking the life out of some people sometimes, but that is just caused by people acting stupid. You come across alot of morons in everyday life. Your choice to be against this war is fine, but your using quotes from a book that I've never even had an urge to read. There is a reason for that. It's full of b.s. To all of you young readers of this thread, py-archer is full of hot air. And appears to be a college kid with too much time on his hands... It feels good to take a life of an insurgent especially after they just kill your brothers. I have no regrets nor remorse. Good for me, bad on him. Tell you what, I am a war fighter and belong in combat. Combat is my comfort zone. Some call it a death wish, I don't. I call it just being a Marine. Ours is a message of hate? Hows that. Who attacked who first. I don't think America is the country that is spreading the hate around. You sound just like a terrorist. Maybe you are. Are you plotting on me? Matter of fact, I don't trust you so I will say no further. I think your up to something! I think your a troll in here plotting on the military. I better report this! TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Blind patriotism...Where do you stand??? Exactly. It's one thing to disagree because heck, I disagree with alot of this Iraq thing but it's a different thing not too support it. Americans need to support this war, the military and the President whether they like it or not or like the President or not. People that don't just harm our great nation. My problem is when people start to bad mouth the military. Then we have a problem Hey buddy, just be part of the solution and not the problem. TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Blind patriotism...Where do you stand??? This thread is done as far as I am concerned. I think we got our point across. I don't think it's fair "per se" to say that all people don't have the right to agree or disagree with the war. I would like to think like that but I am not sure if it is right or wrong but my feeling is it's probably wrong. I just don't think it's cool to talk bad about the military or make ignorant comments about those who serve. We do what our Commander in Chief tells us to do. We may not like it but we have to support it. I am sometimes a pretty ruthless person when it comes to America. I am stingy and at the same time proud. The military is my life and always will be. I will be one of the old drunks that lives down at the VFW everyday . But seriously though, don't make comments about the military unless you served. Heck these days even if you did serve...unless youhad bullets fly over your head...I don't even want to talk to you about the militaryj/k. Anyway, you can bad mouth Bush all you want, just don't talk bad about the military
