horst
Well at 8:00 last night I ran outta cigarettes. It looked like a good time to quit, Ive had bronchitis going and had a bad time getting rid of it.15 1/2 hours later Im getting awfully sick of gum and suckers and since I didnt plan this out to good I had no patch or anything to put on. Wish me luck, Im trying to go from 2 packs a day to nothing with only a pack of gum to aid me,

leatherneck
Re: This is tougher than I thought Same boat here brother. I ran out of Copenhagen last Sunday, and instead of getting more I just decided to quit. It has been really tough here the last few days, but I think I might be on the down hill side. I am tired of gum and candy myself. Good luck you can do it!!

Master_Chief
Re: This is tougher than I thought Good luck. I quit Copenhagen after 15 years. I have never been that sick. Now I feel healthier and I can really taste the food. Keep at it.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: This is tougher than I thought Chris, listen to me brother. I dipped for 17 years man. I quit over the summer time. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do as far as my body goes. I looked for every excuse to start back up but I didn't. I just kept thinking of my kids and what they are witnessing and how long I want to be around them. That's all it took to hang in there. I was not fit to be around for a long time but now I am better..still a little grouchy but not as bad. If there was a moment in the last 11 years of my marriage that my wife and I were going to split up, it would of been during my quitting stage. I thought I was going to turn bi-polar ..seriously, I was not fit to be around. You can do it man. Get carrot sticks, gum, tooth picks, whatever just hang in there. Good luck man

Newarcher
Re: This is tougher than I thought Good luck buddy, my mom has Emphezema and I can't even talk to her on the phone without her coughing uncontrollably. Hers started with lots of bronchitis and such. Remember, nothing and I repeat nothing can make you put that cigarette in your mouth. You have total control. It will get worse before it gets better but then it will be great! Good luck, buddy. New

tedicast
Re: This is tougher than I thought [ QUOTE ] Gets real bad I just start playing with the baby, Joey keeps me busy [/ QUOTE ] That should be all the incentive you need to quit right there Chris. I watched my mom struggle with kicking the habit , after smoking for 45 years, she quit, and has been smoke free for 8 plus now. If she can quit, I know you can too. Good luck buddy!
