Rayzorp
Re: does Here in New Jersey, for most zones, thats the law, what we call "earn a buck", this year they call it "bank a doe". As for me, I would pass, does have always been last choice for me..
need2hunt
Re: does Done deal... I can get as many doe tags as I want to buy... plus that's what I'm after early in the season, filling the freezer

Guest generallee
Re: does I could had shots at two does, but decided not to take them, and the only reason was because I had a buck feeding about 70 yards from me. The next week, i saw four does coming my way...and no bucks, and one of them does is in the freezer. I definatly shoot does early...got all season for a buck
dogdoc
Re: does actually shooting does early in the season is beneficial for the entire herd. Less stress on the bucks since you've lowered the number of does to be bred and with fewer deer during the late winter there will be more natural forage available to the herd during the hardest part of the year. todd

buckee
Re: does My doe is the first deer I go for. Get her out of the way, some good meat in the freezer and concentrate on bucks the rest of the season. I don't want to be chasing does when the rut is on, But I do hunt where the does hang out when the rut is on

longislandhunter
Re: does I would gladly shoot a doe on opening day, or early in the season, in order to put some venison in the freezer. After procuring a supply of meat I'd then start to look for for horns.

jbeck
Re: does Yep, nothing like a doe to build the confidence. Besides I need backstraps wrapped in bacon covered in BBQ cooked on the Weber grill. Side of baked beans, Deep fried home fries, and a cold Mikes Hard Lemonade. Sorry , what was the question again.*LOL*
