Well Guys, Here goes alot of typeing.

On Friday Sept. 16th, my buddies and I met at my House in Tuttle, OK. We loaded up my Titan and off we went. We Stopped in a lil town that had a walmart on the way and grabbed a few last minute stuff, grabbed a bit to eat and filled up the truck for the load trip ahead. We ended up getting on the road at around 7:30 pm. We drive and we are just all excited about the hunt were fixing to experiance. As we were crossing the OK/TX state line we thought we would have some fun. Starting prank calling people just havein fun making time go by in the truck. We even ordered 2 large pizzas and sent them to a girl I know. It was Fun.

I drive around 6 hours which is some town in New mexico. I let my buddy Donavan Drive (AKA BoomerSooner). Donavan Drives the rest of the way so I can get some shut eye. Im very tired by this time.

Here is D driving my New Titan.

As we get into town we got there at like 4 AM. So we had to wait in town to get our Elk Tags. So we go to sleep in the Parking lot waiting for them to open. BUt we honestly cant even sleep! Were To excited. So we bascialy just jack around for awhile.

As 9 am arrives we are still sitting there watching for the Open sign to come on. As it comes on we basicly speed walk to the Door.

Here is where we got the Tags!

We go in and look around looking for things that we make have forgot to get. We ended up spending about $100 on just stuff we wanted. Plus our $490 tag. So FINALLY WERE OFF.

So this is where we are headed. Nauvjo Mountain.

So finally we reach the Very end of the Road, and now the work begins. We get the truck unloaded and start getting all of our gear ready for the long hike. We also get the Four wheeler LOADED as much as possible and take it as far as the trailhead signs let us! Which was Bout 1/2 mile. Which HELPED alot but we stiff have about 3.2 miles to go in.

On the way in.

We starting packing in with our back packs and hike in for a couple miles and take a break. I tell you what we plan to go back next year and ill be gettting in shape starting in July. The hiking is freakin tough in Colorado. While on our lil break we had a bit to eat and a lil water to keep us going. You got to remeber we have not had any sleep so were rpetty wore out. We finally get to where we were headed. unloaded all our stuff and then went back to the fourwheeler with empty packs to get the rest of our food and drinks. We left the ice chest on the fourwheeler. Now another Long Hike back to camp.

Now that we are at camp, its time to get things set up. This is what our camp looked like after we had it all set up.

Breakfast.jpg

We had two tents. One to sleep in and One to leave all our gear in.

Now that we have everything set up and ready We change our clothes and head to the woods. The 1st even hunt was uneventful. Nothing. We hunted there for the next day and realized nothing was going on at this spot. We actually ended up packing everything BACK OUT the next day.

The reason we packed out is cause we have a really good friend of ours that knows the lands were were hunting like the back of his hand. He owned a ranch that backed up to where we were hunting. He said if you see nothing to go the other spot he showed us on the map.

So as were packing out And get to the fourwheeler. We load the fourwheeler up and Its my turn to drive. Boy was I excited cause I was tired of the hiking. So I start off on the fourwheeler where we left it. I start driving up the side of this hill and it starts getting pretty steep and I was leaning over as far as I could. And well you guessed it. I rolled the thing down the hill and that dang four Wheeler rolled on top of my. I was very thankful to the man upstairs i was ok. My arm and chest was pretty sore and still is.

I grew up riding toys and rolled them many times. But this one was by far the scariest.

More of the Hunt to be continued. Im tired!
