Nut Posted September 23, 2005 Report Share Posted September 23, 2005 Well it looks like I will be missing some of my son's football games. I was told that starting Monday I will be on afternoon's at work. Between the 2 sons there are 9 games left and only 2 are on Saturday. I have no vacation time to use otherwhise I would. So Iknow for sure I will miss Monday's game (Freshman) anda few others until Ican make other plans with the bosses. But I really feel like I was kicked hard somewhere inspite of the fact that this will enable me to hunt pretty much every morning of the week once deer archery starts Oct 1st. My boys mean everything to me and this stinks. It cant be helped since we have to eat. It is better than not working anyway. Just needed to get it out. Look at it this way: if you were still in the Waite district, you'd have to dodge fights and bullets too. Hang in there buddy. Maybe next year with some seniority and the vacation time will improve. It will be good for them....a good lesson to kids---who, even the best of, tend to be a little one-dimensional and self-absorbed---about the difference between want to and have to. Watching the films with them afterwards will be a great catch up time and you can even slow-mo some of their better plays with a fake Coselle voice to add some fun.
