AJ
Re: Help !!!!!!! If you have other chokes handy, test them out and see if it helps. If your getting good groups only low, you can raise the comb to raise your point of impact (POI). You can get adhesive pads to install on your stock that will raise your head slightly. Your head is the rear sight on a shotgun with just a front bead. If you raise your head, you will raise your POI. You will be looking slightly down on the barrel instead of just along it. Basically it will allow you to put a little space between the bead and the receiver. Do not change your aiming point. It's hard to do it accurately without a pad. The pad will allow you to keep the same cheek weld. Thats the contact between your face and the buttstock. Imagine trying to sight in a gun when the rear sight moves after every shot. Be consistent with your cheek weld and sight picture.
lil hunter
Re: Help !!!!!!! Are you shooting rifled slugs?(i'm assuming you are) If not, that could be part of the problem. If you have the money, I'd reccomend buying a slug barrel. You can get them for about $120 for that gun at cabelas. Then you can adjust your sights, and be right on where the bullets hitting. I personally wouldn't want to use just a bead, while deer hunting. But thats just a personal preference. If you don't want to buy a new barrel, an improved cylinder choke may help, but theres really no way to tell without trying it.
