This is kinda cool.....

Came across this today while researching some barrel replacement services.

This company is offering an over/under rimfire barrel for the contender handguns. If the barrels are regulated properly this would be kinda neat to have.

The following is a cut-n-paste form their webpage.

The JKL offers T/C Contender shooters a unique new twist in barrel design. The over and under barrel for rim fire ammunition only allows the Contender shooter a quick follow up on varmints and the accuracy for targets.

How The JKL Works

The JKL barrel mounts the same as conventional (single) barrels on any T/C Contender frame. However, because of its ability to 're-****' without breaking the action open, the new Contender G-2 is best suited for this design.

With the barrel now mounted the shooter can choose which barrel to fire first.

Moving the selector switch (on the hammer) to the rim fire position allows the top barrel to fire. Flipping it to the center fire position allows the bottom barrel to fire. The same is achieved with the Original Contender but, obviously, the shooter will have to break the action in order to re-**** the gun.

Scoped or open sites the JKL is just one of the many accurate innovations you'll be seeing from On Target Technologies.

Look for more details, information and field tests in a forth coming edition of The TCAs Publication 'One Good Shot'.

Might be too bulky to fit the action, but I'd like to see a 22 mag over a 410 combination.

While this would at times be handy, I think you would have to have a barrel length of at least 16" to be legal. This would be pretty heavy for a handgun.

Because of the spacing of the firing pins in the Contender frame any other calibers larger than the rimfires wouldn't fit.
