Guest lucky_erickson
Well it depends on the area. I'm actually doing a study on whitetails, and I ran across this mixture. 50% apple juice, 25% water, 20% glycerine, and 5% salt. It sounds crazy, but i have used it in scent post studies and it has worked well.
wtnhunt
Re: Any Suggestions???? Guess it depends on what you want to spend. We do use corn at our cameras some out of season, and it does attrtact some deer. I hear that buck grub is pretty good, but not being legal to bait here, I have never used the stuff. And by a "scent post study" do you mean you spray that on a post and see if deer come up and smell it? That's a new term to me, how about explaning it... Tominator
Re: Any Suggestions???? This year I had a ton of spare apples off my trees, so I decided to dump the bad ones out back just to see what happened. I've dumped 2 piles so far, and both piles are completely gone now. muggs
Re: Any Suggestions???? apples work like a charm, I always put them out in front of my trail cam and it really draws in the deer. once the snow falls, I'd bet a constant pile of corn would keep them coming it pretty good

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Any Suggestions???? Sounds to me like your area might be a good candidate for a mineral lick if there aren't a bunch of cattle or sheep around. Do a search and find the old post in this forum with the ingredients for the homemade batch that you can put together yourself for a little bit of nothing.
