Tominator
Indians have a fair amount of new blood, and it's fairly talented. The challenge will be keeping them together in today's free agent market. Cleveland has a notorious reputation for not signing their young talent, and signing old, has-been talent. muggs
Re: How in the world! That's simple, the Indians are a better team. With the pitching the BoSox have, I'm surprised they're over .500. Lucky you guys can hit home runs, otherwise you'd be in big trouble. Let's see what else, we've covered the Tribes huge advantage in pitching, oh yeah, we got the AAA MVP of last year playing shortstop, and a 10-ten finisher playing center. Hmmmm..... 1-9 the best lineup in the bigs........thinking here......the best closer in baseball......more speed then the BoSox, we play better defense......a brighter future.....we develope talent instead of throwing money at any free agent out there. and the #1 one reason, we actually have a second baseman. As good as Tony Graffino is, I'd still take Belliard. Don't foget bud, we had a ton of all-stars in 04, then we added Sizemore, Peralta, and the best starting pitching and bullpen in the AL. Only player worth his Salt playing in Fenway is Damon, DH's that can hit the long ball are a dime a dozen, pitching and defense win championships. Even if the Tribe doesn't make it this year, they have a necleus that will keep them competitive for years. Most of our key players our well under 30 years old. Your main advantage, and the thing that scares me the most is the fact that Francona is a way better manageer then Wedge, and we can't bunt to save our butts, that has cost us two games over this 3 game losing streak already. buckbuster11
Re: How in the world! The Indians are the real deal for sure, as muggs explained. My question is how are the Yankees, Red Sox and Indians all losing at home against lousy teams in must win games?
James7xChamp3
Re: How in the world! Muggs explained that very well! It's a wonder the Tribe ever loses! They are a very talented team. I just hope the White Sox play them hard this next series.........but probably not after clinching. Can't answer for the others, but in Boston it's been the pitching all year. No real superstars except for Wakefield and Schilling and Schill hasn't been the same since his surgery. If Bostons number one offense doesn't score 8 runs a game we lose games. And that's a lot of burden on Johnny Damon's shoulders. If only that "dime a dozen"clutch hitting DH Ortiz and his partner Ramirez would help out a little they might have a chance! lol!
