David_218
[ QUOTE ] In the new savage you can shoot smokless powder. Can you shoot smokless in other ML's as well? If not what is different about the savage? [/ QUOTE ] The Savage "Smokeless" M/L is designed to handle smokeless powders while the "average" M/L is NOT! In the traditional M/L and Inlines you can only use one of the three: Black Powder, Pyrodex, or Powder like Triple "7" that contain no sulphur. NEVER USE SMOKELESS POWDER IN M/L'S OTHER THAN THE SAVAGE!!!! Even in the Savage you MUST follow loading data to a "Tee"!

[/ QUOTE ] Very true, except for the Smokeless muzzleloading's guns/barrels. [ QUOTE ] Even in the Savage you MUST follow loading data to a "Tee"! [/ QUOTE ] I would not say that, but you can't be stupid about it. There is a lot of room for experimentation with different powders as long as you know what you are doing. It's like reloading for a wildcat.
