MossySNPR
Re: The North American #1 Guns EXCELLENT ss! I'm in for a week starting tomorrow morning of shotgun, then the next week of rifle. I'm also shooting anything with antlers as long as its bigger then a 4 pt. Don't have a doe tag, and I need to fill the freezer, because of the area I'm in, this is the gameplan. Anything after that will be a bigger buck I'll wait for in another area. SIGHT EM N SMOKE EM GUYS.
MossySNPR
Re: The North American #1 Guns This mornin' nothing. Went to school and drove back out at 3, walked in, sat and at 4:24 a big old doe walked in at 50 yards. She was really hesitant about the new stand, but got used to it, browsed a bit and left the way she came. Never heard her at all, When I first saw her come out, she was SO big, I was positive she was a buck, had the gun up, but was disappointed. Anyways, I'm going to connect very soon. LLBUX
Re: The North American #1 Guns Good job guys!!!!! My weekend hunt was K-o'ed when I had a root canal get infected. I was pretty miserable all weekend. Woke up Monday morning with a face like a pumpkin. My eyes almost swelled shut. I had a reaction to some meds and had to go see the doc. Some better today but I still won't win any beauty contests. I may win a fright mask contest. Kids at school(I'm teacher) thought it was funny and I can see the humor too. Hopefully all will get well this week and I can sit for awhile on stand. Good luck all!
MossySNPR
Re: The North American #1 Guns GUYS I MISSED A 10 POINT!!!!! This morning at 6:55 I looked behind me and a big 10 stepped out, I'm using my shotgun with slugs right now because thats the season. Anyways, at 65 yards I slowly turned around, aimed and fired. The buck stumbled and I thought "HES DOWN", Then seemed to regain himself! THEN MY GUN JAMMED, he was standing there looking at me playing with my gun, finally I ejected the shell and it rocketed towards the ground, making a loud noise. By that time he turned and trotted in the way he came, and I made a noise with my mouth to stop him, but he kept going so I aimed and fired a second shot, I rushed it, and the third shot was just a security shot. Anyways, I drove to get my dad and we were positive I hit it, I was positive I hit it because of the stumble it made. We found no blood, tracked it for hours, even went and got one of our deer dogs but there was just too many deer tracks for the dog to distinguish the most fresh buck track. Its hard for me to believe he just twitched because of the shot, it was a broadside shot, 65 yards, I shot, it looked like his left leg gave out and he caught himself. This is the second buck of my life that this has happened to, I feel so sick to my stomach, but I'm going back out there anyways tonight, the morn, wed night, thursday morn and night, then I'm off up north with all the boys for rifle week. Any thoughts on that 10?

MossySNPR
Re: The North American #1 Guns This morning still no buck. I heard three shots to the south, three shots to the west and three shots from the neighbours who are about 300 yards behind me(three shots all the time because theres no rifles out in the country, just two weeks of shotgun). Then about 15 minutes later I heard a deer running through the woods like a freight train, panting so loud I couldn't believe it. It was obvious it was my neighbours and that it was wounded, so I decided if it ran by I wouldn't shoot it. Next thing you know, everything goes silent and BANG about 50 yards to my right. I was angry they crossed the fence and shot near me, mostly just because they scared the living daylights out of me and all I need is more shooting at my stand sight after what went on yesterday with that 10 pt, especially when its not ME doing the shooting. Just an update.
tezz32
Re: The North American #1 Guns well i check the scores and with my buck that isnt added yet we are at 46 points and that puts us in a 2 way tie for second!!! but team 10 is way in the lead with 66 or something like that. so keep the kills coming this one could be close
