MCH
Re: TEAM 20 All right guys and gals. How about a roll call and name ideas? And give us a little about yourself. Here. Sniper Squad. Overacheivers. Backstrap Boys and Britney Deers... Scrub Buck Squad. I was in the contest last year and scored 13 points. I hunt Southeastern Oklahoma. My season starts Saturday. I only bowhunt. Might venture out with a rifle, depends on how I've done.. I'm 32, married, with two kids: 2 year old boy and 4 month old girl. And I'm ready to win this contest.... I know ya'll are just lurking around trying to be fashionably late. I also know that BB11 usually means the death of a thread, but we've got to tough it out... Guest DaveGP
Re: TEAM 20 hey im here checkin in, ohio opens up saturday, its still pretty thick, i have been doin a lot of scouting this year! i hunt in an urban area around cincinnati, ive seen a lot of big bucks.... over a half a dozen in the 125-135 range and few that may go bigger. if its outside the ears its down though! im hoping to bag a few does as well. sad to say last year i grazed a 140 incher, well this year hes only bigger! anyway im 22 and i work in an emergency room 4 days a week so i have usually 2-3 days a week to hunt, im about so start back to school but that will be evenings and will NOT mess with my hunting. im open to suggestions for names! lets get-r-done! MCH
Re: TEAM 20 Summit Viper here, also. Oklahoma's Bow season runs from October 1st to January 15. I should have a good shot of harvesting at least an eight point. First doe that walks by without a young fawn will be on the ground, also. MCH
Re: TEAM 20 Ok, how about this...we'll start an official list. Each team member can add two potential names to the list. Team members will then PM me their favorite out of the list, exluding their own choices. The most votes wins. So basically, if you haven't already, throw two names into the ring. Once a list has been made, PM me your choice but remember, you can't vote for your own name. Here's the list so far: Ultimate Predators Rubline Renegades Team Deer 911 Team Rack Attack Team Baglimit Come on team, let's add some more. MCH
Re: TEAM 20 Uneventful morning. Only gets harder. The weather is warming up and the low tonight will be in the upper 60's. I'm hunting around some acorns, so maybe with the moon phase, I'll catch some early nibblers tonight.

MCH
Re: TEAM 20 Had a pretty good morning. At 7:15 had a doe within 35 yards but no shooting lane. The trail she was on led right past one of my shooting lanes but she veered off feeding and ended up skirting me. At 10, I'm not sure if I was busted or if something spooked her, but I had a doe bust out of a thicket directly in front of me at 40 yards. I had just got through correcting my face net, when she took off. She didn't blow and something just tells me that she never saw me. She actually ran at an angle towards me, coming within 30 yards. At 11, a deer came barreling through the woods at about 70 yards out. Couldn't make the sex out, so I stood up and grunted a little bit...I was tired of seeing deer and not getting a shot.. As soon as I grunted, I looked in the direction the deer and came from and spotted a nice 8 point walking the same trail. This surprised me, because I know the rut is still a few weeks off, but if that first deer was a doe like I believe it was, then I just saw my first rutting action on October 2. Needless to say, I couldn't draw the buck in closer. All in all, it was a great day. The weather was in the 80's but the deer were moving great. The weather is currently in the 90's but with the amount of movement, I may still go out for an evening hunt.

christsavedme
Re: TEAM 20 Sorry guys....didn't mean to leave you hanging. I am checking in. Been really hectic the last couple of weeks. A little about me....well I am 27 years old. Married to my wonderful wife of 3 years, no kids yet. One dog and a really spoiled cat. Our season....TN opened on Sept. 24.....can't tell you how many does I have already passed up...just been too hot to fool with one right now. I had a really nice 10 point within 60 yards the other day, but just couldn't get him any closer. Looks like it will be a great season. Our trail cams have been getting alot of buck footage. As for a name.....I really like Rubline Renagades....or here is a new one.......Stag Horns! It doesn't matter much to me.....just let me know. Sorry about taking so long to check in. Just started a new job and talk about a long week. I just took a job as an EMS Supervisor at our County Ambulance Service. Lots of things to work out. Owell nothing a couple of days on stand can't fix! See ya'll soon. Hope I'll be posting some numbers soon! Josh
