remington870
Re: TEAM 28 well it has pretty much been to hot here this week, i tried to hunt opening evening but i was to sick to stay on stand and came home early, saw 4 deer though. It is supposed to get a cold front here thursday and i am off so i will try my chances then. My buddy shot a large doe opening day so the deer are here, we have great stand set ups and just have to have the proper wind for them to be effective. TexasDeerHunter
Re: TEAM 28 HOT here as well. I hope to try and sling an arrow at something this weekend. I definately will hunt weekend after next and hope it cools off quite a bit. We have seen plenty of deer, just not while we were hunting. I hunt in a five deer county and will try and shoot all five to get some points. I will most likely donate the deer to Hunters for the Hungry. Last week in November I head to Kansas to try my luck, can shoot four deer there so hopefully I can get all nine this year. Good Luck remington. remington870
Re: TEAM 28 no deer movement here, went out last night and this morning and saw nothing. next try will be on sunday, at least the temps are supposed to drop 20-30 degrees tonight!!! why not go with a silly name that has nothing to do with hunting like chocolate chip cookie, at least we will stand out! RDNKHNTR77
Re: TEAM 28 went to the doc yesterday and found out i broke my wrist in my football game last weekend but they put a cast on it so i can still play, but hunting might be a different story. i prolly wont be able to shoot my bow so,maybe, if my dad will let me, i can use his crossbow this weekend and see what i can do
TexasDeerHunter
Re: TEAM 28 We had a front come in late last night and temp dropped to 52 so I went out this evening by the house. I saw a small 6pt chasing a little doe around and then another small doe. Earlier I was looking through my bino's from my living room and saw alot of doe and that same little 6 moving around from about two o'clock until I went out at 6:15. They are definately moving here, but I have seen no big boys around the house. Last year there were three 8 points and a nice 10 point, but I have yet to see them this year. I am gonna try in the morning and then head to my deer lease next Thursday. Good luck to ya'll, has anyone come up with a name and found our other two team mates? Guest tarbaby
Re: TEAM 28 Well ya'll went out this morning for the first time this year and it was awesome. About 30mins after sunup a nice 10pt. i think is what it was steps into the field. Didnt get close enough but guessin he'll go low 130s. Then about an hour later an old doe comes walking by at like 8yds but had a little one with her so passed... she winded me and went around the bend of the field. 5mins after that another big doe comes by on the same path with two little ones behind her... so i passed... but just then the first doe comes back so i decided to take her since the two youngins have the othere doe there. 25yd shot... down after 40yds... going back in the morning for that buck... all i have is one more either sex tag and will be holdin out for a p&y... good luck to the rest of ya

TexasDeerHunter
Re: TEAM 28 Howdy Addct2hntng and congrats to tarbaby. I have not put an arrow in anything yet, but I am heading out Thursday for the deer lease. I talked with a land owner today who has a small 57 acre plot literally a stones throw from my back door and he gave me permission to hunt it. Have not seen any big boys there yet, but it will allow me alot more hunting time since it is close to home. Any names yet for the team?
