Re: TEAM 28

Just wondering how things are going for everbody. This weekend wasnt as good as i had expected. But I just moved one of my stands into a thick funnel where a major creek and another little one come together about 75yds from a doe bedding area. Getting ready for Nov baby. Well good luck to everyone and hope I can add some more points for us

Good luck to ya Addct... as well as the rest of you... I'm hearing that things are startin to pick up a little here... Bucks are gettin swollen necks and chasin pretty good... bad thing though it's supposed to be up in the 60's and down into the 40's this weekend... gonna try some rattlin in a funnel that connects two areas that have a history of producing big bucks... the ONLY place that connects them.... I'm just ramblin now cause I'm excited to get out of school this week to go home and hunt

Re: The Spitfires!

Well guys the rut is on to tsay the least. I can't be hunting all week because of school, so I only got down Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Haven't been seeing many deer, really, but there are some BIG rubs around and we know the big boys are there, we have thepictures to prove it. Passed up a young 8 pointer, and that was all I seen.

My borther was able to connect on a nice main frame 10 withtwo kickers. I am guessing he will gross in the mid to upper 140's and def. net 140 something.

Re: The Spitfires!

School has got me only hunting on the weekends which is startin to tick me off. Last weekend i saw a total of 5 bucks... on nice 8pt with some junk came chased a doe about 30yds away but every time i stopped him there was some brush in the way. This weekend here i think is gonna start off the peak of the rut so I'll try to stay out all day sat. and sun..... (girlfriend permitting) Well good luck to ya all

Re: The Spitfires!

been seeing my fair share of deer, and most of them bucks. I finally saw one i liked but shot over his back, shot him for 40 and afterwards ranged it and it was 35. The arrow went right over his back. Still got 5 or so more days of vacation to try again and it is supposed to drop big time in temperature, back at it in the morning.

Re: The Spitfires!

I'm only getting to hunt on Saturdays around home because of work, so things have been slow for me. I'll be leaving after Thanksgiving for a 10 day hunt in Illinois, so I hope to score a big one there! Good luck guys!

Re: The Spitfires!

PAYDAY, shot a 9 pt this morning, will only count as an 8 for this contest as one of the points is under 1 inch, i will post the pictures sometime tomorrow. seeing as how i live in a 1 buck state that is the best i can do for our team. he is not the biggest racked deer i have ever seen but he was a full bodied mature looking deer.
