OK boys. There's a tie for the final playoff spot. I hope everyone has been keeping up with their individual scores. If so, go to this link: Forum Baseball and double check my figures. If there's a discrepancy, please tell me so we can get it fixed before the playoffs begin.

Here are the final results:

1. BB11---45 points

2. Dogdoc---39 points

3. VABuckslayer---30 points

4. Texastrophies---26 points

5. DSGB---18 points

(tie)6. Mudrunner---5 points

(tie)6. Squirrelhunter91---5 points

Ok, here's how the final playoff spot will be decided.

Mudrunner and Squirrelhunter91 will pick two players from these two games on Saturday Oct. 1st: Yankees vs. Red Sox and White Sox vs. Cleveland.

They will PM me their picks no later than the start of the first of the above games.

Here's the link to the scoreboard... Link

Here's the schedule for the playoffs. The higher seed will get to pick which series they would like to use for both contestants' picks.

Game 1:

1 Buckbuster11 vs. 6 Squirrelhunter91/Mudrunner

Game 2:

2 Dogdoc vs. 5 DSGB

Game 3:

3 VAbuckslayer vs. 4 Texastrophies

Like I mentioned before, after the higher seed chooses the series, the contestants will PM me their two picks. The two picks can be from the same team or opposite teams. Scoring will be the same as the regular season. The contestant scoring the highest in a category will get 1 point while the other will get 0. The playoff is over once the chosen series ends. In case of a tie, batting average will be used as the tie breaker, then RBI's, then R's, then HR's. The highest seed advancing into the second round will recieve a bye.

Any questions??

Mudrunner and Squirrelhunter91, please get your picks PM'd to me as soon as you can.

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Forum Baseball Regular Season Results

BB11....if there is a tie in points, 2 to 2, then whoever has the highest batting average wins. If the batting averages are the same, then RBI's, R's, and HR's in that order. If for some odd reason, there's still a tie, then I'll be forced to go by regular season totals. Hopefully, that doesn't happen.

TT---you'll have the chance to pick two players every game of the series..but the same rules apply. You can't pick the same player in consecutive games. So plan you're strategy around that fact. Let's say you know for a fact that Pujols just tears up Adam Eaton, but Peavy starts the first game and Eaton the second. Well, you wouldn't want to chose Pujols the first game because you couldn't use him in the second.
