njbowhntr
At present I shoot Beman ICS Hunters. I am looking at upgrading in the arrow department though. Trying to decide between Beman MFX Max-4 or the Easton Axis. Looking for feedback from anyone who shoots or has shot either arrow. Thank you in advance. iabow
Re: Carbon Arrows??? I shot the axis arrow last year and it shot very good but I had problems with the durability of the axis arrow. Had one break in flight to a doe 20 yds away, the arrow didn't hit anything in flight to break it(it was very cold that day though -20). the 6" fletching end was at 10 yds never found the broadhead end(there was some unraveling of the carbon) Maybe I got a bad batch but all the arrows I shot didn't hold up worth a darn, now I shoot GT and couldn't be happier with em. Shot them though a wall in my house and a steel cabint with no problems(don't ask ). Don't know about the beaman.
slickhunter
Re: Carbon Arrows??? I'd stick with the Bemans, I use the 400's, shot GT's also but I think the Bemans are best for the price

iabow
Re: Carbon Arrows??? Well I was bringing my bow into specs and checking the draw length, watching tv at the same time. I have an arrow marked for the right draw length, all I got to do is make sure it is even with the lowest part of the grip. Had some bad lighting and was really looking hard to make sure it was just right. Then it happened, brain fart, somehow I hit the trigger and off through the wall close to my computer . Had great penetration though, was impressed. Two weeks later I was in the basement tinkering with my bow again and my form, and thought I would try a little lighter trigger. I got to ¾ draw when off it went through a pair of pants on the line, glancing off the ceiling through a box and into my steel cabinet. Needless to say I found out my release needed fixing. Had no damage to the arrows, only to my shorts. The tv didn't help things either (monster buck on the outdoor channel) but I learned and I’m better now, really impressed with the GTs. Shooting your bow thru the house... [/ QUOTE ] I think it's more of a family thing. Two years ago my dad had to tear down a wall, and when we got back from hunting one evening he noticed something changed on his bow so he put one into the wall to see. He said he was begining construction, mom didn't agree. My grandpa is an awesome shot, shooting blackbirds 100 yds away with a handgun. Well one night home by himself a bat started flying around the house. My gramps is a big man and 80 years old tough for him to get around, so he brought out the bird shot for the 22 pistol. He shot the bat flying around with one shot but also put a dent in the fridge. He went driectly to the old dog house with no hot meals for awhile, but he sure was proud of geting the bat. I only shoot my bow down stairs when I can't outside or paper tuning and I make sure no one is around for safety, I see a pattern though, thats scary. Sorry for jacking the thread.
