TOMSD5 Posted September 29, 2005 Report Share Posted September 29, 2005 ok folks it's been really hot down here +70's in the morn high 90's in the evening, the deer have not moved a lot. Welllllllllllllllllllllll got up this morning to 48 and man it was nice to be in the wood's. I watched 3 does with their fawns feed at 10-25 yards in front of me for over 30 minutes.. they finially moved off to the pines and bedded...at 9:00 i got out of my stand and started in and when igot to my food plot 3 bucks were in it tearing the clover, wheat,and oats up. I got to within 50 yards of them and the wind swirled, I watched them feed for another 20 minutes or so then they went off into the woods. The biggest was a small frame 8, one was a 3 point and the other was a 3inch spike. well did not get a shot but man how wonderful it was just to be out there and seeing these great beast of God's forrest..God bless you all and hunt safe...
