Have these radios without the instructions.

Does anyone know how do you get the bells and beeps to shut off on this thing?

Thanks,

Craig

You can not turn off the ringers! Radio can not work in silent mode! I know! I have a pair!

These radios are short range only! I have a pair of them that the wife and I use when we go to HersheyPark. If your planning to use these for hunting! DONT!!!!!!! You can NOT make them silent! The ringers can not be TURNED OFF! I contacted Motorola about these several times. Each time they said the same thing! These radios, the ringers can not be turned off! I bought a pair of these real cheap four years ago from Cabela's. Motorola does not even make these anymore. Put your money into something else!

There great for theme parks, but not for hunting! Imagine the big buck of a lifetime walks up, then all of a sudden, RINGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Bye, bye big buck!

"Select "SETTINGS" mode then the "SETBEEPS" menu then "BEEPSOFF" in that menu. Same set up to turn them back on. If its the beeps you get everytime your finished speaking, thats call the "BEEPSROGER" tone. This too can be turned off.

Page 31 on the link "VermontHunter" listed has the way to turn those beeps off.

I believe every Motorola can have then turned off but not sure.

1st thing I did with mine. LOL

The problem is the little button around 10 o'clock with the NOTE symbol on it. If this button accidentally get pressed it sends out an ALERT tone to all radios on that channel/code. The button with the NOTE symbol can not be de-actiavted. I have done this many times. I have radios from Motorola, Midland, and Cobra. Once there all set to the same FREQ. and the T6300's are on QUIET function. If you hit that NOTE button, ALL RADIOS except the one that pressed that button will sound off an alert! That NOTE SYMBOL button can not be de-activated, Motorola said so in an email to me. Now I wished I would have saved that email. These are great radios, just not for hunting!

My father went ballistic the day I took these dove hunting! He said dont even take them deer hunting! LMBO!!! I didnt!

Im sorry I thought he was trying to deactivate the little "Roger" beeps your radio sends once your done talking.

Or press Send on your end.

I was not talking about the tone button. Your correct. No way to deactivate that one.

I suggest not pushing it. LOL

(jk)

Or, drastic measures, simply cut it off your radio if it bothers you. I have never hit mine, on accident or on purpose.

In this case get a cheapy ear bud and solve that noise... You will still hear it but deer will not.
