deer and tornados

No, but I was once hunting a few years ago when a tornado struck about 6 miles from where I was hunting.

That was the freakiest day ever in a stand. I distinctly remember a tree in front of me snapping off and bonking me in the head. The lightning was so intense I left my aluminum stand in the woods and sprinted across my buddy's open field.

Geez, what a night.

I would think that it would be a good thing.

1. deer will use the blow downs as cover.

2. tree tops can now be reached and browsed.

3. over the next few years, the area will see new growth making the area realy thick and providing browse for deer.

so ya, I'd say it is a good thing.
