bowhtr1
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. Sound like a nice place. We are still in the 90's during the day and the deer are not even thinking about scraping yet. They are tearing up the mineral licks. RangerClay
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. I went coyote hunting on Oct. 1st in central NY. I saw numerous scrapes plus I saw a spike horn chasing some does hard. Ranger

Guest tyshe17
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. I just talked to the guy in Southern central TN where I am going to hunt this weekend and there are a lot of rubs in one area, but I think that is just where they rub off velvet every year early. No bucks been seen yet, but there is a good bit of sign.
bulldawg
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. Some early breeding does happen, but most of the scrapes that you find now will be boundary, or secondary scrapes. Check them for a licking branch to be sure. Tominator
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. I've seen a few border scrapes and one that looked like it had a "purpose" to it.
bulldawg
Re: bucks are rubbing and scrapping. I got a later start then I wanted to yesterday afternoon, but came across 4 fresh scrapes. 3 were border scrapes, and the 4th was a little questionable. They were all tore up and just stomped!
