horst
Re: Firearms in vechicles - Vote! But Strut, you havent explained to me how stepping on these companies rights is any more reasonable then the antis stepping on ours. [ QUOTE ] Yep. You can sue anybody for any (non)reason you wish. It's a pathetically litigious society in which we live. Rest assured.........if I were ever assaulted in a place that forbid me to carry my weapon. I would sue them for denying my right to defend myself. [/ QUOTE ] And that my friend, is your right as well.Isnt it great living in a country with so many rights? Now if everyone would show others the same respect for thier rights that they want to see shown for thiers we could all have a big hug and get along happily ever after Aint likely though is it
TexasDeerHunter
Re: Firearms in vechicles - Vote! If a firearm is locked in a concealed place then how does a company know it is there? They can not legally make you open up your glove box can they? I think it is completely idiotic for a company to even try and enforce that an employee have no firearms in their vehicle. If it is not displayed then why do they care? Those folks that are going to go postal will bring one to work no matter what the company says . In a somewhat realted topic, Texas has ammended their concealed carry law and has stated that anyone who is not a felon can carry a concealed handgun in their vehicle without a license as long as they are traveling. The good thing is that they have defined traveling as being in the vehicle going somewhere, it does not matter where or how far. I usually just carry a shotgun or my truck rifle since there is no law that prohibits that in any form or fashion unless you are a felon. [ QUOTE ] But Strut, you havent explained to me how stepping on these companies rights is any more reasonable then the antis stepping on ours. [/ QUOTE ] Ummm...............O.K. I'm not "stepping on these companies rights". If some place doesn't wish for me to carry a gun on to their property, I will either abide by their wishes and not......or, most likely, I will not step on to their property period. I will take my business elsewhere. That simple. How this differs from the anti's is brutally simple. Once I leave the property of the "no gun zone" company, I am free to carry my weapon on my person as I see fit. The anti's wish is that I have no gun to carry anywhere in any manner......ever. Not too hard to differentiate at all.
