Newarcher
Re: Cowboy Troy Ahhhh, come on guys....aren't you being a little hard on Rascal Flats and Big and Rich via cowboy Troy? Most of Country music died with Waylon and Willie when their music became out of date. Luddenbach Texas and Momma's don't let your babies grow up to shoot Mathews were classics! Good hearted woman in love with a Hoyt Shootin man was the best! Baby let's sell your diamond ring, buy a Hoyt and pointy things and fling away.....Gold, baby, gold! Much of Country music has gone to pop. It is funny that when Faith Hill came on the scene, she had long blonde curls and the deepest Southern accent you could imagine....now she sounds like she is from Denver or Salt Lake City--no accent at all. Shania strayed as well.....I remember that video with the long, curly hair and the black dress dancing around in that barn........unbelievable. Now she sounds and dresses like some sort of pop star. Chrud
Re: Cowboy Troy What is wrong with Big & Rich? "Save a Horse" caused quite a stir. But, if you bought and listened to their entire debut CD, you'll know that is the ONLY song on there that would cause a stir. "Deadwood Mountain", "Wild West Show", "6-Foot Town" are just a few that in no way could get anyone upset. Heck, they wrote "Live This Life" for a girl with cancer. Personally, I'd jump at the chance to see them live. I have yet to find much of anything of their's that isn't "country."

MCH
Re: Cowboy Troy I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Gretchen Wilson. She's from the same mold and she's one of the best females out there right now. A lot of her songs were co-wrote with Big and Rich.
