PAbowhunter86
I just started getting into archery and was wondering about 3D shoots. How do they normally work? How good should I be before going to one?
Tony
Re: 3d shoots you level of shooting is kind of determined by what class you are going to shoot in. your first time out you should try to shoot with a friend for just fun. that way theres no pressure on you to compete.. but if you go to a 3d shoot heres what will more than likely happen.. you will arrive and then probably register for the shoot. you will be given a score card . and told what class and stakes you will shoot from.. then off to the practice range and when your ready to shoot they will pair you up with some other shooters or if you arrived with some friends you will all get to shoot together.. if its an IBO or ASA tounry your group will probably get busted up . they dont like buddies shooting together in a big group.. but 1 or 2 will be ok.. before you shoot if its your first time try to let someone know and they wioll try to pair you up wiht some experienced shooters that will show you the ropes.. follow the rules and have fun... bvut be warned , 3d can be very addictive.
