Gus
This is my neighbors little boy and everytime that I am outside shooting here he comes. He hands me an arrow and tells me where he wants me to shoot and then goes and gets the arrows for another round. His mom told me today that his biggest wish right now is to go hunting, so I think I will bring a popup blind home, ask the guy I used to work for if it would be alright if I took the boy hunting and make his wish come true
Rhino
Re: Future Bowhunter I sure miss those days when I had my son around to fetch my arrows along with his. Looks like he's enthusiastic about going Tonya. Hope it works out where you can introduce him into our ranks.

Tominator
Re: Future Bowhunter My son just made himself a bow. I told him I used to use golden rod when I was his age because it grows very straight. I just happened to be in the field so I found one, snapped it off for him, and he summarily launched it at a pumpkin hitting it! Fun fun fun. Gus
Re: Future Bowhunter [ QUOTE ] Super cool Was is that though, like a 1 foot shot? [/ QUOTE ] That is about as far as that little bow he has would shoot one of my arrows. He said he would have to use one of my arrows to shoot the deer, because his had suction cups on them and they wouldn't stick in the deer
MuZZyMomentZ
Re: Future Bowhunter I remember when I went hunting for the first time. It only takes once for you to be hooked forever. Im 22 now, living in Los Angeles, and chomping at the bit to get home to Oklahoma for deer season. Hunting/Fishing/The Outdoors deserves to be passed on from generation to generation, congrats my friend on keeping the dream alive!! =))
Stinger-Hunter
Re: Future Bowhunter I say go for it. I have a couple nephews that get up at 7am every Saturday to watch deer hunting. The time may come for me to take them too. It'll be an experience of a lifetime for them.
