Canadian_Goose
I get mighty cold in late deer season (rifle) when hunting from a stand. Just thinking of it makes my bones quiver. Anything you gentlemen/ladies do to keep warm. Cuz my hot pockets don't work unless you move... and the deer don't come unless you sit still. I have thermal underwear which helps and i plan on getting rid of all the cotton this year.
superguide
Re: The chills I actually burrow into an old armchair on the ground-I fell asleep once in it at -30 lol. You can get those heater suits that are basically a sleeping bag that you can wear.
Guest Greener
Re: The chills Try climbing inside an old sleeping bag and bringing it up under your arms. I've done that on really cold days and it worked pretty well.
SaskBucks
Re: The chills I use body warmers as well...put them on your kidneys...I built a box blind and so far it is very comfortable...if the wind is right you can use a propane heater in there no problem
Muff
Re: The chills I always try to layer up...and the biggest thing I find is keepping your feet warm and also I find that I want to keep the back of my neck covered up so no wind can go down your back. buckee
Re: The chills Yeah..get rid of the cotton and go with some fleece along with those long johns. Keeps me toasty. Layers is the key.
MossySNPR
Re: The chills Everyone hears it a million times, but layers is the key. Depending on the weather, I either use tons of small layers or just a few big layers, evens it out a bit, it gets BITTER cold here in Ontario. Cutter
Re: The chills layering , the best way to go . If you dont want to sit in a box set up. Ive also used the hot packs in the lower back area and they help alot.
