Big_Bubbles
Is it true if a buck dont have browtines it will never have them in his life? a couple people told me this and im not sure if i believe them. thanks
wtnhunt
Re: Is This True? Think it depends on age. A 1 1/2 year old deer that has only forks may have brows at 2 1/2. If a deer is 2 1/2 and does not have any brows, than it probably wont ever have them.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Is This True? Not sure if it means the deer will never have browtines, but a lack of browtines is a definite indicator of inferior genetics (assuming adequate nutrition). I'm looking for all of my 1.5 year olds to be 6 or 8 points with brow tines. If they're older than 1.5 and don't have them, then I really, really want them out of the herd.
