Rhino
I received this picture along with some notes about the hunter and the buck via email yesterday. This is one huge NT buck to say the least. According to the informatin I received this buck was killed in Mclean County, Illinois. I don't know the name of the fortunate hunter that bagged this great trophy but he is apparently a buddy of the cousin of the guy I got the info through. I'm told the bowhunter that killed this fine buck lives in Kappa and is a policeman in Bloomington but I don't have his name. My first resposnse was WOW, but then . The confusion part comes from the info I received with the picture. Apparently this trophy buck has been frozen whole and will be sold to Bass Pro Shops. Can any Illinois hunters shed anymore light on this? I don't know about you guys but that would be the last thing on my mind after killing a fine trophy like this. MCH
Re: Monster Illinois NT Beautiful buck! Doubt I would have sold it. Definitely not so soon. But you can bet he got high 6 figures for it at least. And its a lot of hunters dreams to provide for his family by deer hunting, and that young man just did... Master_Chief
Re: Monster Illinois NT That is one awesome deer. The only place the original would reside is my house. BassPro might get the rights to a replica or something like that but not the original.

muggs
Re: Monster Illinois NT this buck was killed on land that I hunt, netted the lucky shooter 250K from Cabelas. I'd sell it for that price, that would buy me a nice starter home. [/image]

Guest Andrea
Re: Monster Illinois NT Probably won't ever have to worry about that...but I am sure I'd take the money. On one condition......that my name and photo and me labeled as the shooter went with that buck everywhere from now on. And that I had the replicas of the horns in my house.
