6sixpoint_nobrows
ok this leads to a new question.....this last weekend my dad found a new rub line and a bunch of brand new scrapes, one of them beeing right underneith the tree i hunted in last season, only problem is i took that stand down a movoed to a differant spot, my dad also said there was a bedding there too, and im afraid to move my stand back...so i was thinking about putting my trail cam off of his scrape that way i could see who it is thats doing this...i saw that the rubs were very large so im hoping that is the big boy in my sig. picture...but by doing this will this scare him away and cause him to leave the area, because iv been told, the slightest things will make a mature buck leave the area.....also thanks to everyones tips on the last thread i think in early nov. im going to make some mock scrapes and some mock rubs and see how that goes...thanks a lot guys! ;
Tominator
Re: intimidation:part 2 I wouldn't pressure him too much. Maybe set your stand or camera at the head of the rub/scape line, not in the middle of it, or a trail that leads to those lines.
wtnhunt
Re: intimidation:part 2 Not so sure I would bother the area too much either. Have to agree that a trail leading up to the rub line would probably be your best bet.
Smitteken
Re: intimidation:part 2 I'd set up about 30 or 40 yds off of that trail. When things get heavy, he'll scent check his scrapes from down wind rather than going directly to them.
