bfletch7441
Re: TEAM 29= CAMO COMRADS! Well, I scored over the weekend folks. Saturday evening a decent 7 point came in to the grunt tube and I put him down. He weighed in at 125 pounds, not a bad weight around here. Here's a few pictures. Good luck to everyone. iron buck
Re: TEAM 29= CAMO COMRADS! Breakthrough...you are right! I was out tonight. Lots of deer activity. several small bucks runnning does. THEN..........in he comes. A BIG buck. I am not sure how many points. 9...maybe 10. Looks to have a broken brow tine I think. About a 20" spread and 10" tines at G2s & 3s. Affter seeing the rack I knew he was a shooter. I concentrated on getting the shot off. I hit him HARD at 20 yards. He was quartering slightly away. My arrow passed through hitting the far side leg on exit. It actually ripped off one of my blades it exited so hard, hitting the leg. I have good blood on my arrow. Looks to be heart shot. From the way the buck took off it appears that way. I heard him fall a few times. It was dark when I got out of the tree & due to all the blood trail is very hard to follow. I backed off & will head out at day break to look for him again in the light. I will have a hard time sleeping tonight! This is a BIG buck. I think he may be bigger that the 155 class buck I took about 10 years ago. Wish me luck in finding him. Hopefully I have pictures to post tomorrow! I worry with all the rain. MAkes blood trailing damm near impossible. But if he is hit as I think he should not be far.

Congrats on beating harsh conditions. Can't wait to see the big monster. The way you describe the shot he shouldn't be to far. Re-Visualize the shot when you get back in the woods in the morning. Go to where you shot him and then where you last saw him. Get a couple friends to walk with you. Good Luck finding him, bet you will hunt more in rain now right? ilhnter
Re: TEAM 29= CAMO COMRADS! I've been in the woods. I killed a doe in Illinois over the weekend with my shotgun, but i have already entered a doe to get five points. Hopefully i can take a buck in the last month and a half of the season to take the place of the doe and get us some more points. So how is everyone doing in the woods? Any luck?? I'm gonna hunt some cornfields and some thick cover near the cornfields. I'll put out some doe n heat urine and try and coax a big buck out. If a buck don't present itself I'll be looking to shoot two does.
