Gave a Public Speech Last Night...

...on field aging deer. The audience was comprisied mostly of military personnel from Ft Hood. I was somewhat surprised at the general lack of understanding on the subject. I had a real good slide show with a lot of pics of various aged bucks. If there was more than one in a pic, they could usually tell which was the older, but they weren't very accurate on getting the ages in years. We also drifted into QDM, land management, supplemental feeding, taking does. and several other related topics. All in all, I think it went really well, and afterwards I got an invitation to speak at an upcoming Rotary Club luncheon!

that is neat. After about 2.5 years it takes a little more experience to accurately age bucks.

I gave my first presentation on Food Plot development about 2 months ago. I made a little slide presentation and spoke for about 20 minutes. I had a good time and the host received a lot of positive feed back. I also touched a little on QDM---just a little at a time will hopefully make a difference.

lots of people including me could use that advice thanks for spreading knowlegde. most poor decisions and poor judgement comes from lack of knowledge.

I think that's a crucial point. If someone has never been exposed to QDM, and you hit them full force with the entire program, their initial reaction is to completely reject it as at best undoable and at worst a real "fun killer".
