FSU_Seminole
Re: lighted reticle scope I think Bushnell makes one, where you charge the crosshairs with a flashlight, its called the fire fly. Check out Bushnell's website for more info.
LifeNRA
Re: lighted reticle scope You know, I was wondering about these scopes. You know how you get a halo around bow sights that are lighted. How could you see the animal if the cross-hairs all lit up as well? I think if its too dark to see your game or cross-hairs, maybe its time to call it a day! JMO!
wtnhunt
Re: lighted reticle scope Cannot really see where I would need them 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, I can usually see my regular reticles pretty well. Guest BigAl1781
Re: lighted reticle scope they work good in very thick cover if its real early or late,,i figure anything that helps u make a good shot for a clean kill,,no wounding,,,cant hurt to use,,as long as its legal
popgun
Re: lighted reticle scope I have two BSA Radiant Scopes. The lit reticle has 11 settings so if you just dial it to 1 or 2 it isn't so bright that it blots out anything. I found the lit reticle to be almost useless. I never turn it on. By the time I can't see the regular reticle, it's too late to hunt anyway. I think I paid about $70. Doing it again.... I'd stick with a normal scope. I think it may help if it were on a .22 for coon hunting at night, with dogs, and spotlights. ....popgun
RangerClay
Re: lighted reticle scope Get yourself a scope that has, "Fully multi-coated lens". I have a Bushnell scope with those properties. The light gathering properties are so good that I could make a shot in light conditions that are too dark to see. I would never need a lighted recitle. longislandhunter
Re: lighted reticle scope a friend of mine has a lighted reticle scope on his slug gun, thing is amazing. I don't know the manufacturer but he uses it mainly at night for a nuisance permit that we are on. I used it once or twice, simply amazing. I would imagine that it would be very useful during the first and last few minutes of daylight also. His scope actually uses a tiny round battery, like the ones in watches and such.
