Re: lighted reticle scope

You know, I was wondering about these scopes. You know how you get a halo around bow sights that are lighted. How could you see the animal if the cross-hairs all lit up as well? I think if its too dark to see your game or cross-hairs, maybe its time to call it a day! JMO!

Re: lighted reticle scope

I have two BSA Radiant Scopes.

The lit reticle has 11 settings so if you just dial it to 1 or 2 it isn't so bright that it blots out anything.

I found the lit reticle to be almost useless.

I never turn it on.

By the time I can't see the regular reticle, it's too late to hunt anyway.

I think I paid about $70.

Doing it again.... I'd stick with a normal scope.

I think it may help if it were on a .22 for coon hunting at night, with dogs, and spotlights.

Re: lighted reticle scope

a friend of mine has a lighted reticle scope on his slug gun, thing is amazing. I don't know the manufacturer but he uses it mainly at night for a nuisance permit that we are on. I used it once or twice, simply amazing. I would imagine that it would be very useful during the first and last few minutes of daylight also. His scope actually uses a tiny round battery, like the ones in watches and such.
