Squirrelhunter91
Well, it depends on how you want to do it. Can you shoot a firearm where you are at? Will the neighbors care? Do you want to trap them? Live traps like a HavaHart are awesome with a sliced apple in it. Getting them with the bow is pretty hard, but well worth it. As for the squirrels, it goes the same for the woodchucks... You can trap them, hit em with a rifle, shotgun or whatever. Even baiting over a bird feeder. One more thing for both squirrels and woodchucks that I have noticed, usually after a rainstorm, both are extremely active for some reason. Right now, the groundhogs are getting ready to go back into hibernation again and they are beginning to fatten up and it is an awesome time to get after them! Also, you can locate the holes and fill them in with dirt and then sit over the hole early in the morning and catch them digging it back out. Squirrelhunter91
Re: Woodchuck hunting. So I say fill in their holes or get out there after a rainstorm with your bow and some camo and wait. Just be advised, if you get a passthrough, your arrow will smell. LOL If you've ever seen a groundhog upclose alive, you can notice all the bugs buzzing around it. They smell... period.. I had my own experience with my arrow stinkin up a storm back in June. Here is the thread with my dead chuck: HERE Good luck and kill plenty!

SRTMO
Re: Woodchuck hunting. I have a sun room on the back of my house and plenty of land. I set up so the muzzle is just inside the window and use sub sonic 22's. The neighbors down the road never hear it. I've gotten several ground hogs (woodchucks) that way. My dad and I hunt ground hogs extensively in the summer. My choice of weaponry is a Savage 112 BVSS with a Springfield Armory scope in .243 Winchester. We shoot hogs at up to 400 yards when the wind is calm.
