flyrod64
Re: old powder and bullets The can of black powder I use is about 18 years old! LMAO It still works fine and I might actually empty it this year and get to buy a new can!
wtnhunt
Re: old powder and bullets Bought I think three cans of pyrodex when wal mart had them clearanced a few years back. Still have about one and a half cans left. Performance seems to be fine.
RangerClay
Re: old powder and bullets I too have a T/C Renegade, they are great guns Your powder should be fine. Go get some .348 grain Powerbelts. They shoot great out of my gun with 80 gr. of Pyrodex. Ranger

RangerClay
Re: old powder and bullets Barb, Powerbelts (.50 cal) come in 3 styles. The two copper bullets come in hollow point and aerotip. The third is a solid lead. Most stores do not carry the lead bullets, the only place I have seen them is in catalogs. I use the hollow points because that is what my local store carries. I would like to try the aerotips one day. Good luck Ranger
jnrbronc
Re: old powder and bullets I have half of a pound of pyrodex I bought in 1989 and I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I've kept it capped and dry, out of temperature extremes. Might think about increasing the charge a few grains before I hit the end of the jug.
