dogdoc
go shoot them and see how they fly---i bet you will impressed. Wrapping is just a personal choice--doesn't really matter. They should do fine with the WB. todd
buckee
Re: Blazer vanes vs. normal 4 inch vanes [ QUOTE ] Also, for those of you who use a whisker biscuit, with the added heighth of the vanes is there a problem with contact with the ring that holds the bristles? They cut it pretty close, and I'd be willing to bet you'd get contact if you had a hefty nocking angle. [/ QUOTE ] That was one of the reasons I stayed with the 4" Bohning vanes. I just didn't want to take the chance with that high profile through the biscuit. Better safe than sorry.
mitrrophybowhunter
Re: Blazer vanes vs. normal 4 inch vanes I don't think you would want a helical on the blazers. Kind of like the quikspins. They tell you right on the package to use an offset. People have great success with the blazer WB combo.
CDubWSR
Re: Blazer vanes vs. normal 4 inch vanes i shoot the blazers, and i shoot them through a whisker biscuit, and i have absolutely no problems at all. in fact they are the best vanes i have ever shot through the whisker biscuit b/c they are tough. i used to lose a vane almost every time i went out and shot and havent lost a single one in the last month since i changed to blazers. i dont have wraps on my arrows either. i also shoot 85 grain slick trick 4 blade broadheads with my blazers fletched straight and they shoot right on with my field tips all the way out to 60 yards. so as long as your bow is well tuned, you shouldnt have any problems with broadhead flight. Chrud
Re: Blazer vanes vs. normal 4 inch vanes Blazers are broadheads vanes, they are designed to be stiffer and give better broadhead flight. I really like them.
