SaskMan
Re: Muzzleloader buck fromlast night (PICS) WOAH!!! I haven't checked this thread in a few days, what a plethora of responses and ?'s. I'll try my best to answer some of them. [ QUOTE ] what did that sucker way? [/ QUOTE ] Not sure but I'm betting he was pushing 300 dressed. [ QUOTE ] How many points? [/ QUOTE ] He is a main frame 5x6 with 2 stickers off the burr, both in the 2" range. [ QUOTE ] What did he score? [/ QUOTE ] Right arounf 182" gross, unoffical but it'll be close very close. [ QUOTE ] I was wondering brother, how old he was [/ QUOTE ] I'm no expert at aging deer but based on appearance and a couple other factors I'm going to guess 5 1/2. [ QUOTE ] Where you wearing your camo you got from last years contest [/ QUOTE ] Shirt, gloves, hat and facemask, pants are too big lol [ QUOTE ] Dang what are you sask people feeding your deer [/ QUOTE ] Alfalfa and jackpine moss lol [ QUOTE ] Do you have any sheds from this guy? [/ QUOTE ] Dan, I picked up a mid 150's set a couple winters ago from him, none last year. [ QUOTE ] I noticed in the picture of him before you shot him that another big bodied deer was standing in front of him...now I'm from Georgia and the deer body wise aren't too big down here so anything that size is unheardof to me...heck it could be a doe for all i know...was it another buck??? [/ QUOTE ] It was another buck, a 140 class 4x4. [ QUOTE ] how far was the shot? [/ QUOTE ] Somewhere in that 50-60 yard range. Too close to miss. I hope I've covered most of them. Thanks for the kind words all, best of luck with the rest of the season.

Tsmola
Re: Muzzleloader buck fromlast night (PICS) I think the most amazing part of this post is the original post with pics, it reads like a post from someone who just routinely killed a young buck or doe for management purposes. I think most of us would have dripped saliva all over the keyboard and left a garbled post no one could understand until we could correct it weeks later after the shaking let up a little. I know I would have. Congrats, that is awesome!

You sure have some great hunting ground. Congrats on another great buck. BTW...just because you've filled your tag doesn't mean you can't go hunt with a camera. Hope you hit the woods with a camera in hand and share some pictures of some more big ones that are still walking around up there.
