[/ QUOTE ] Just got back from Gander mountain with one....only $ 99 same cam.....great price.......yeah Sportsman guide is $199.....so far so good.....we are testing it around the yard....I'll keep ya updated........I'm gonna put it near my L.R. digital and watch live snap shots of my deer....it has LED's for night viewing....so I be able to see my flash go off on my Leaf.......pretty cool. bozz
Re: Stealth Range cam...... I think its a keeper......I had it out to about 100 yards today....picture and audio was crystal clear.....yeah it has nice audio.....you can hear acorns falling with it.....good and loud volume control dial......man this thing could be the cats meow....no kidding...I'm amaze at the shear volume of visible screen viewing.......you can see clearly a square 100 yd field.....I'm pretty sure you can count the points on a buck 50 yds away from the cam.....I had some what low expectations so I'm really impress so far....I have not tested the night viewing yet......but my guess is the range is only about 30 feet....not bad for IR's......the nice size monitor does have video in and out jacks for large tv viewing and VCR recording....cool huh......I'm gonna set it up soon on a cedar tree about 7 feet high on my food plot to hide it a little.....the cam is a dull medium green....should hide well....may run a power cord out to it instead of batteries so I could kill the power from the house........hey the monitor even comes with a cigarete lighter plug to watch from your vehicle once your in range of your cam....not bad. More to come later.......
bozz
Re: Stealth Range cam...... Update ;....cam is working great....only draw back I see so far is the IR emitter's are a little weak....it work's good in low light as advertise on the box....but you can't really see much in total darkness.....maybe out to 10' only if you lucky.....these certainly are not the same IR you get in a trail cam....wonder if the home security models have stronger IR emitter's or not for night viewing...oh well...for dawn to dust it is a great little unit.... may pick up another cam for it.....the monitor will run two cams as well..... bozz
Re: Stealth Range cam...... Hope to have some video soon.....still in the testing stage......went to Lowes and bought one of those solar panel's with 3 LED lights to light up the area a little at night.......that should help......the solar LED flood lights look pretty good at night....not too bright....looks like my night range will be around 30' with the solar's.......not bad.....hope to have it all set up by the weekend....its fun messing around with this stuff......I kinda feel like the Ghost hunter guys on tv with all this stuff.....lol !
